Before I moved over to Australia 2 weeks go I was the proud owner of a 24″ alu iMac. While this is a fantastic workstation for someone who does a lot with websites, it was unfortunately a bit too heavy to ship around to the other side of the world, so I sold it before I went and used the money to get myself a sexy Macbook air.
As much as I love it, the ultra portability, it just doesn’t have enough oomph! to replace my old iMac. The screen is too small, the battery-life isn’t all that great, and with a 1,6 ghz processor everything is just slow enough to get annoying after a while. Now I’m looking to either sell it or trade it for a new macbook pro. Any takers?
My problem with Apple has always been that they introduce a new model just weeks after I have invested in a piece of hardware. So right now I’ll be waiting for the new Macbook pro. Hopefully with the same keyboard as the regular Macbook and Macbook Air because its the only keyboard that allows me to virtually write typo-less.
In other news;
1. Still busy getting my permanent visa for Australia.
2. Got engaged, getting married in March next year
3. Bought a new 40″ Sony Bravia LCD. Came with a free Playstation 3, which will nicely fit next to the Wii and 360
4. Thinking of getting into University - Bachelor of Arts / Mass Communication. Should come in handy for someone who wants to grow in the Online Industry.
And that’s all for today folks!

Couldn’t find a good theme so I’m getting one designed, which shouldn’t take longer than a week.

A few days ago I stumbled upon an interesting way of selling blog ad-space. The second article on the frontpage of Geenstijl.nl looks like any other post on the blog, but is in fact an advertisement for a Dutch bank. The article is basically a short description/review of the service which is being promoted. After a second visit to the site, the advertisement will be gone or has changed into a new one. Because it looks just like the other articles on the site, I actually read the entire thing - something readers don’t usually do when they see it’s an actual advertisement.
This is a very smart, unobtrusive way of advertising. Unfortunately I didn’t do a screen grab the first time I saw it, so you’ll have to visit the blog yourself and take a closer look at this clever advertising concept.
Update - found a screenshot on Flickr.

Why are there so many free wordpress themes to choose from? I’ve been looking for something clean and simple for my new blog, right here at JottingJones.com, and it’s taken me well over a day to find something I kinda liked!
It would have all been so much easier if A. I could design it myself, or B. If I felt like paying someone a ton of money to do it for me.
Since I’m not interested in either option, I guess I’ll be sticking with the free themes, play around with them a bit and hopefully end up with something that I like.
Anyone have any suggestions where to look for clean and simple themes?
